One magnetic principle.
Different jobs.

A magnetic head can provide a contact point for load guidance, a grip for manual handling, or a way to collect ferrous debris. Each task needs its own tool, method and release sequence.

Application-led selection

Where is the hand exposed?

Landing steel

Guiding structural members and ferrous assemblies during approach and placement.

Plant maintenance

Positioning suitable valves, motors and steel components around maintenance work.

Fabrication

Handling sheets and components where edges, gaps and placement create hand exposure.

Marine & offshore

Reviewing magnetic guidance for suitable ferrous loads within the planned lifting method.

Retrieval & housekeeping

Collect the metal.
Keep hands clear.

Magnetic pickup tools, long-reach retrieval tools and scrap pickers provide an interface for collecting suitable ferrous debris.

Discuss a cleaning or retrieval task ↗
Loose bolts, screws and small scrap

Review the pickup area, release method and disposal container.

Debris under equipment or inside restricted areas

Choose reach and head geometry around access, machine isolation and operator posture.

Swarf and workshop housekeeping

Review the material and debris shape before choosing a collection tool.

Selection guide

Confirm contact.
Plan the movement.

01 · Material & surface

Identify the steel type, thickness, curvature, coating and contact condition.

02 · Task & movement

Specify guidance, manual handling or retrieval. Include the weight and direction of movement.

03 · Reach & operator position

Review access, pinch points, swing paths and the required working position.

04 · Engagement & release

Confirm how the tool attaches, remains seated and disengages during the full task.

Magnetic pull force is not a working load limit. Guidance tools do not carry suspended loads. Confirm model-specific ratings and permitted use; do not infer lifting suitability from a magnetic force figure.
